India was not in the list of 35 countries which got their hands on the revolutionary new ipad launched by Apple in March but Apple has decided to launch the latest version of the ipad in India and it will be coming to India on April 27, 2012. Apple has announced that 18 more countries along with India will be getting the new ipad. Indian consumers will be able buy this device from 27 April itself.
Just to remind you that Apple’s new ipad runs on dual core A5X processor with quad core graphics. The 9.7 inch display has a resolution of 2048×1536 which falls under the retina display category with a pixel density of 264ppi.
There’s a 5MP isight camera which is capable of shooting 1080p videos. There’s a voice dictation feature in the new ipad. Even with the improved graphic capabilities and a better processor, the new ipad manages to give you a 10 hour battery life.
The new ipad will be available at the following prices
16 GB Wifi Only- Rs 29,500
32 GB Wifi Only- Rs 34,500
64 GB Wifi Only- Rs 39,500
16 GB Wifi+ 3G- Rs 36,900
32 GB Wifi+ 3G- Rs 41,900
64 GB Wifi+ 3G- Rs 46,900
After the announcement of the new ipad in march Apple also decided to cut down the prices of ipad 2 worldwide. ipad 2 is now available from Rs. 24,500 in India. So, you’re looking for a tablet around 25k mark you can also buy the ipad 2. The ipad 2 can do almost everything which the new ipad can and for a day to day usage it’s a pretty good tablet.
