Saying goodbye
Was the hardest thing to do
I never thought I would
Especially not to you.

I brought this upon us,
I am the reason behind all this fuss.
I am the reason for us to drift away,
At the end of it all it’s me who will have to pay.

Strangely enough,
The words have dried up too,
I don’t know what to say,
I don’t have any clue.

You may choose to believe that I never loved,
You may choose to believe that I never cared,
But what I have for you,
Is something that I never shared.

I hope you really know,
How much I truly care,
Because when I’m away from you,
It’s like something isn’t there.

Sadly enough it doesn’t matter anymore,
For you are gone,
Leaving behind a heart,
That for you will always long.

I don’t know how I will cope up,
But somehow it doesn’t seem fair,
Yet I go from reality to reality,
Leaving people behind who have always cared.

I don’t expect you to understand anymore,
I don’t expect you to bear the tantrums anymore,
But my love for you,
Always has and will continue to remain pure.

You are free to believe,
That all I do is pretend.
Saying things and never meaning them,
For the act of showing is something I need to mend.

I don’t know what life has in store next,
Or how much of it remains,
All I know is from the people left behind,
I truly hoped that you will remain.

I will miss you,
Now for than ever.
For now it appears there is no going back,
The way we were.
Friends forever no longer forever!

I will miss you,
When I need someone to talk to,
Someone to understand how I feel,
For the number of people who do are few.

I will miss you,
When I want to share the moments of joy,
The sweetness of the kid that exists within me,
Being as playful as a toy.

I will miss you,
When the irrationality of the world hurts,
To hear out the words,
And bring along a huge amount of comfort.

I will miss you,
For the vent that you became,
Knowing all about me,
The real me without any lies or game.

But above all,
I will miss you,
For the lovely person that you are.
Simple awesome with your share of complexities,
Irrespective of the situation, never in misery.

May you find the right people,
In your life ahead,
People who show their care,
People who mean the things that are being said.

Tears roll down my eyes,
As I believe this is the final good bye,
And yet somewhere deep inside there is hope,
Hope that we aren’t supposed to end this way.

In the end,
The only thing left to say,
No one will ever take your place,
I can always promise you this,
It’s hard to find someone like you,
So know you’ll always be missed.
