Star Wars v/s Star Trek : Where does your allegiance lie?

So yesterday was the 46th anniversary of Star Trek and Google celebrated it with yet another amazing doodle. Sadly enough we weren’t able to cover it out here at Observer’s Paradise. We found Star Trek’s doodle to be one of the best till date. If you missed the Star Trek doodle, you can view or play around with it here.

Now, coming to today’s debate or rather a debate that has been one of the oldest debates in terms of technology as far as Science Fiction is concerned. We wouldn’t disrespect the two of these awesome series but the only other comparison or a fight between fans for fiction series can be the vampire diaries v/s Twilight series. At least, that’s the only one that’s coming to our mind at the moment. Star Wars v/s Star Trek war is way above those two without a doubt.

  • While Star Wars gave us the Lightsaber Star Trek gave us the phaser particle gun.
  • Star Wars had Slave-1 and Star Trek had Enterprise-D
  • Star Wars had the Death Star beam while Star Trek had the Borg Tactical Cube.

Now these were the only top three comparison that we could remember but there are a number of other worth noting comparisons and all of them are here in this nifty infographic.

Now we do not want to begin a debate over here for we love both Star Wars as well as Star Trek. We gotta be neutral since we admire the characters in both of them! As for you all out there, it’s all about where your commitment or fan-ism lies. Which side you are on? Do let us know in the comment section below.
