Writer’s Block

I don’t know why I am writing this post given that this no longer is a blog but a full fledged website but I hope you will be able to handle a personal post once in a while.

The topic of today‘s discussion is writer’s block and the thousands of bloggers, writers, poets our there would be able to understand what I am talking about. Even though I can’t say that the image that you see along the post is wrong but that’s not my condition even though my thoughts are pretty much similar to that person staring at the computer screen!

For those of you who do not know what it is here is the basic definition and explanation that you might find for it online:

Writer’s block is a condition, primarily associated with writing as a profession, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work. The condition varies widely in intensity. It can be trivial, a temporary difficulty in dealing with the task at hand. At the other extreme, some “blocked” writers have been unable to work for years on end, and some have even abandoned their careers. It can manifest as the affected writer viewing their work as inferior or unsuitable, when in fact it could be the opposite.

The reason I am posting this is because I do not want to be part of the category the later part of that definition has. Yes, I am talking about the blocked writers part. So this post is nothing but just an attempt to prevent from being a blocked writer and continue being a part of this blog where the people call me the boss even though I never attempted to be one! But still given that they call me the boss even though arguably I am not even close to being one, I thought I should write something before the vigor dies out. Now that I am writing about writer’s block this reminds me of my poetry block as well. I haven’t written one in ages now so I guess it’s time for you all to bear it once again. Let’s see how it eventually turns out to be.

Writer’s Block

Staring at the pixels
Of the laptops screen,

What to write,
For the observer so keen.

A lot of words
In the head,

But nothing worth scribbling
With the lead.

Writer’s Block is what I am facing
At the moment,

 A lot of unfinished words,
Just like those from an infant!

There is a lot to be said,
And a lot more to be heard,

Now in the mind,
It’s all cluttered.

A few poetic line,
After a very long time,

In the hope my writer’s block ends,
With the help of these rhymes!
